3 EASY AND HEALTHY HABITS THAT KEEP ME ON TRACK

After losing 100lbs I thought at some point I’d finally get to sit back and just live and not have to focus on my diet and exercise.  This couldn’t be farther from the truth.  Diet and exercise are more so important now that I’ve lost the weight because I don’t want to ever gain the weight again.  It took me 2 years to lose all that weight and I refuse to undo all that hard work.IMG_7278

I don’t have the same challenges with food as I’ve once had because I’m mentally and physically stronger now than when I first started my weight loss journey.  One of my greatest challenges with foods in the past was eating any and everything in exorbitant portion sizes.   I’m a pro at watching my portions now and my diet consists of lots of fruits, veggies and legumes.  A few days a week I swap a meal with a Vitality Blend Superfood Meal Replacement shake.  It’s the easiest meal ever, just shake it up in the blender bottle and you’re done!  Or you can blend it with ice, almond milk and a banana for a delicious smoothie.

The vitality blend shake is vegan too.  Theres 10g of plat protein in each shake, I promise  you’ll love the energy!

Eating well is half the battle,  it’s important that I get in at least 3 workouts a week. What has worked for me has been to work out early in the morning before my two little ones wake up for school.  There’s just no time to get a work out in after they’ve woken up.  I’ve set my alarm for 5:45am and when it goes off I get suited up for my run on the treadmill.   My workout routine isn’t complicated but it’s not for the faint of heart.  On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I run on the treadmill at 5.0 mph for 30 minutes.  Following my Monday and Friday workout I lift weights to tone up my arms.  Right now I’m lifting 12.5lbs, I complete bicep curls from the front and sides and then I do alternating bicep curls into shoulder presses.  After my Wednesday run I focus on my lower body completing lunges and squats until I can’t walk.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays I take it easy, I walk for about 40 minutes on the treadmill at 3.0 mph while scrolling through my social media timeline.  It’s important to incorporate both cardio and strength training into any workout routine.

After a good workout I like to fuel up with healthy snacks.  Some of my favorites are a slice of wheat bread with peanut butter, Viance Brownie Bites, a banana, or graham crackers with peanut butter.  I try to have my snack almost immediately after my workout to properly fuel my body.  I eat my snack with a glass of water and 1 Viance Ultra slim drop.  The drops are a synergistic blend of ingredients that helps you lose extra weight by many different methods: appetite suppressant, fat burner, fat and starch blocker, blood glucose regulator and digestive aid.  I also add  a drop to my morning tea instead of using sugar and it tastes really good.
