5 Cancer Causing Foods In Your Pantry Right Now

 

It’s difficult to shop healthy today. Because of the high demand for quick, fast, and easy meals in the store, companies are trying to gain market share by creating fatty, salty, rich ‘foods’ for the consumer. However, many of these companies are sacrificing your health and wellness in exchange for massive profits.

There are companies selling food in grocery stores that have ingredients proven to cause cancer. How can they get away with this? Well…people don’t know. It’s time to educate ourselves on what REAL food is all about and why we should be avoiding these nasty common cancer causing foods to save our health.

1. Canned Soups

The big issue with canned foods is BPAs, (Bisphenol A) which is a carbon-based synthetic compound found in many of the cans your food comes in. Why are BPAs dangerous?

BPAs cause cancer and there is debate within the community whether or not BPAs are transferred to your food in the cans. Eating canned food is not work the cancer-risk that BPA’s may propose.

Eat fresh or frozen foods when possible!

2. Soda

Diet soda contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener recognized by many researchers as having a potential connection to cancer. Although it hasn’t been officially connected to cancer, this is one of those ingredients that you should avoid because of it’s potential.

If research comes out in the future that indicates aspartame is carcinogenic, you’ll be happy you avoided it. In fact, avoid soda in general. It’s terrible for you and causes obesity, diabetes, and a hoard of other issues.

3. Potato Chips

Enter your grocery store and you’ll see dozens of delicious looking potato chips in amazing flavors, just waiting for you. IT’s a super simple snack to toss in your basket, but be careful. These can be cancer causing foods!

Glycidamide created by the metabolizing of Acrylamide, a substance produced from frying foods at high temperatures, is theorized as the cancer-causer for many snacks sold in stores today.

4. Vegetable Oil

Up to 80% of corn- and soy-based ingredients at the supermarket are GMO products. That means these genetically modified organisms are being injected with herbicides and pesticides to speed up growth, increase the overall size of the ingredient, and eliminate rot/disease/bugs.

It may sound great, but these herbicides and pesticides can cause cancer, especially in the form of vegetable oil.

5. Microwave Popcorn

We all love curling up in front of the TV on a Friday night and turning on our favorite flick – but why are you risking your health with potentially dangerous microwaveable popcorn?

Perfluorooctanoic acid is created during the microwave process from substances found on the inside of the microwaveable popcorn bags.

Save yourself the trouble – buy non-GMO popcorn at the store and pop it on the stove in avocado or coconut oil – healthier and safer.
