7 Ways to Sneak More Veggies Into Your Life


Trying to be healthy can sometimes feel like a full-time task, but it doesn’t have to be! When you start creating habits like buying the right foods, drinking more water, and adding vegetables and fruits to your diet, you’ll find that it becomes a lifestyle and starts to feel easier. 1. Soups

It really doesn’t matter what soup recipe you’re using, you can always dump some chopped veggies into your soups to get an extra serving or two of nutrients. Or how about even a handful of that superfood spinach? If you’re in a pinch at eating a store-bought soup or at the cafeteria, carry some chopped veggies with you in a snack bag so you can have them ready at any time!

2. Smoothies

The good thing about smoothies is that you don’t usually even taste the veggies when they’re mixed in with other healthy foods like fruits, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, and other popular smoothie ingredients. Add a cup of chopped kale, or some celery sticks for added fiber to your next smoothie and go a little greener than you normally do each morning!

3. Snacks

The best part of having veggies as a snack is that you can pair them with other healthy treats like hummus or low fat dips. Easy ones to transport are crowd favorites like carrots and celery, but how about some cherry tomatoes, broccoli bites, or bell pepper strips? Get colorful and change it up so your lunch bag or snack pack doesn’t get boring.

4. Sandwiches

You don’t have to get rid of the meat to enjoy more veggies on your sandwich! How about adding some grilled eggplant slices or cucumbers? Keeping a dish of these in the fridge make it easier for you to add to your sandwich instead of that piece of cheese. Or add some shredded beets or shredded carrots to your tuna salad for a colorful and healthy kick to your sandwich!
