Detox naturally for best results. Detoxing and cleansing are all the rage these days, especially in Hollywood. While they seem to run the gamut from lemon water with cayenne pepper, to cabbage soup diets, the one thing they all have in common as the goal is usually fat loss.
Should You Detox
Yes, you may want to do a cleanse or a detox to jump start a new diet program, or to rid your body of a series of overindulgences. But, it’s important to maintain your health along the way and ensure you receive the proper nutrients as well.
Many weight loss programs will start with some sort of quick-start fat loss program. This often entails limiting carbs, drinking a lot of extra water and often utilizing detoxifying teas or copious amounts of lemon. Unfortunately, these programs often include the addition of dangerous diuretics or other drugs, so be sure to pick a reputable company that focuses on natural ingredients.
So, should you still detox? The answer is most likely yes. Your body has probably built up toxins over time and it’s a great idea to cleanse your system every now and then. However, you should make an effort to use all natural ingredients, as well as cleansing foods to detoxify your body.
How to Naturally Refresh Your System
A better route to cleansing is to use either a few days of a liquid fasting type cleanse, or a whole natural food cleanse. There may be some programs that combine the two methods, which is great. However, you just don’t want to go more than a few days without real foods, as your metabolism can suffer and you may start to lose muscle mass if your protein needs are not being adequately met.
Naturally Detoxifying Foods
You really don’t have to suffer when it comes to cleansing. Believe it or not, you can eat plenty of fresh, whole natural foods and feel satisfied and not hungry while at the same time giving your liver, kidneys, and digestive system a refreshing break. Your body does want to cleanse itself. By giving it the proper nourishment and allowing it to do what it does best (take care of itself) you can experience renewed vigor, vitality and a vibrant glow.
