Brownies are a favorite dessert for many, but they are usually loaded with sugar and other bad ingredients. This raw version is made with high antioxidant cocoa and high fiber dates for an indulgent treat you don’t have to feel guilty about. The coconut frosting is just the icing on the cake!

Brownies
  1. 2 cups raw walnuts
  2. 2 cups pitted dates
  3. 1 cup cocoa powder
  4. 1 cup raw almonds
  5. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Frosting
  1. 1 cup pitted dates
  2. 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  3. 1/4 cup coconut oil
  4. 3/4 cup water
Instructions
  1. Make the brownies by putting all the ingredients in a food processor and processing until well combined. Mixture should be sticky, and feel like cake crumbs. Press some together. If it sticks, it’s ready. If it’s very crumbly, add more dates a few at a time until it sticks together firmly. Once firm, press into a brownie pan and freeze for 1 hour.
  2. To make the frosting, blend all the ingredients in a food processor or high powered blender until smooth and creamy; it will take a few minutes.
  3. Once the brownies are frozen, ice them with the frosting and store in an airtight container.
